The media is an important part of a modern community.
Some parts of the media participate actively in the work for a safe traffic.
Other parts are actively working for a reduced road traffic safety.
Some media has the commercial interest connected
to advertisements from the marketing of vehicles. They have a tendency
to promote the same attitudes as governed by their advertising
customers. This tendency seams quite clear in the media having
advertisements from the car industry.

From NRK home page with
the program leader of "Autofil" number two from the left.
"Autofil"
was a television program in the
Norwegian state owned broadcasting company. They seams to have a
preference related to speed and joy in the cars on the road. Their
message does not promote safe traffic on Norwegian roads.

The VW Polo Cross has been "tested" by Autofil.
"The car was thrilling and gave great enjoyment to the
driver."
The total "Autofil" presentations promotes unsafe driving on the
roads. From 26 May 2008 and the rest of that week, the Autofil TV
program was in the focus of media. This web-page took an active part in
this. On 16 June the message from NRK informed, that the "Autofil" TV
program will be stopped after 10 years and more then 100
protgrams during these years.
Volvo C30
"If you in reality want speed and excitement, you can
get the C30 with a 220 Hp motor. With that motor you will have power in
surplus." writes journalist Jan Harry Svendsen in Aftenposten 23 April
2007. By this wording the journalist and the newspaper promotes unsafe
driving on the roads.
