Parliament
The Parliament has established the Road Traffic Law, dated 18. June 1965.
This law has a general safety paragraph number 3, reading in free translation: "Everybody shall travel carefully and be attentive and careful to avoid any risk or any damage ..."
The lawmakers have with other words specified that the drivers on the roads shall be careful to avoid any risk for damage and personal injuries. If this law had been respected by everybody, how many killed on the roads would we then have?

Tor Sandberg, the leader of the Transport committee in the Parliament.
The Transport committee
in the Parliament is also responsible for a safe traffic on the
Norwegian roads.
|
The work done by the Department of Transport and the
Parliament is important for the road safety in Norway. It is
further important how the individuals in the Parliament and the
Ministry behave in the traffic. If they break the traffic rules and
the law, this is setting a bad example for the rest of us.

Volvo: "Welcome to the Amusement Park!"
Volvo tells about their safe cars. If you drive your safe Volvo as
in an amusement park giving tingling in the stomach - is this then
safe driving by a careful driver? Volvo do not break the law. Do
they promote others to break the law? What are the authorities
doing with this?
