In the selling of vehicles, the advertisements are used to tell about new products and to attract new customers. All angles seams to be allowed. The Audi advertisement to the right has a clear message, not clearly spelled out in words, but in the way it is done, may be an even more strong message.

After the active promotion of unsafe driving was exposed as a problem in Norway, most of the main actors has change their marketing message. This Web-page has been one part of this exposing the activity and lack of ethics. A new advertisement from Audi:

Lexus used an advertisement with hands having long nails. The message is: "Is it good to drive with hands having long nails?"  We are now looking forward to the first advertisement with the message: "Designed for careful drivers."

In addition to informing about how the Audi polish their cars, the Audi advertisement also told about the wheel mounting system opening for adjustable height under the car. When needed, the car may be lifted to give a free clearing of 185 mm under the car. A nice feature when you want to drive careful up to the front door of your cottage.

Lexus promotes unsafe driving
Lexus promotes unsafe driving by pointing on acceleration and speed. The same has the Post in Norway by a new stamp with the rally driver Solberg in his Subaru.                

After pointing to the unsafe promotion in the advertisement for Lexus 450, this advertisement will not be used any more according to the sales manager for Lexus, Jan Christian Holm. (E-mail 13 March 2007)
